You’ll finish the Gallerie dell’Accademia Florence, which is home to one of the most stunning and most famous collections of Michaelangelo’s work include the Statue of David.

Uffizi Gallery Tour

Beginning with the Vatican Museums, you’ll take the beautiful spiral staircase and continue through the galleries. You’ll then explore the famous Sistine Chapel with its magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement by Michelangelo before having some free time to visit St. Peter’s Basilica.

After a free morning, you’ll enjoy an afternoon tour of Imperial Rome on foot. You’ll also visit the Pantheon, an icon of Italy, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps and finally, Piazza Venezia.

Onwards to Sorrento

After having taken in the thousands of years worth of history that Rome has to offer, you will head to sunny Sorrento by train, ready for your next adventure. Upon arrival in Sorrento, you’ll have the afternoon free to yourself to relax in 5-star luxury or go exploring. You may want to visit Piazza Tasso, a large piazza which is one of the busiest and most popular areas in Sorrento; or Via San Renato, the colourful weekly street market.

Discover the remnants of Pompeii on this guided tour which will take you back in time to the 1st century. Lost for almost 1,500 years beneath a blanket of ash, the historic settlement of Pompeii Pompeii was brilliantly preserved. On this tour, you’ll learn all about the town’s history, including details of the famous volcanic eruption that destroyed the city.

After visiting Positano, you’ll head to one of the most historic towns on this coastline, Amalfi, the seat of a powerful maritime republic from the 9th to 11th centuries. You can visit its beautiful buildings which are a tribute to its history before moving on to Ravello to explore its ancient stone streets and stunning clifftop gardens.

Sorrento Farm & Food Tour

Another option is to go on a tour of Herculaneum, a famed archaeological site which was once a thriving port town but was buried under many layers of ash following an eruption by Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Lying undiscovered for many years, the city was miraculously well-preserved.

Explore the Amalfi Coast

Today, you’ll have the option to enjoy a leisure day and some free time to enjoy local attractions, go shopping or soak in the Sorrentine sun, or venture out on a day tour of the nearby Capri islands. Starting at Capri, the famed island in the Gulf of Naples known for its high-end shopping and staggering natural beauty, you’ll then move on to Anacapri. You’ll finish the day with an optional visit to the famed Blue Grotto, a cave where the water glows a luminous blue.
