Emilia Romagna Region

Emilia-Romagna is an Italian region of north-eastern Italy with 4,4594,77 inhabitants. It borders to the north with Lombardy and Veneto, to the west with Lombardy and Piedmont, to the south with Liguria, Tuscany, Marche and the Republic of San Marino. To the east it is washed by the Adriatic Sea.

The areas that make up the present region have been populated since ancient times, and there are many sites of historical and cultural interest that can be visited in its territory: the most famous case is that of the Monte Poggiolo site, near Forlì, where thousands of finds dating back to around 800,000 years ago have been found. The many natural resources and excellent cuisine, combined with a wise ability to enhance their resources from a tourist point of view, make Emilia Romagna a destination of great charm for everyone at any season of the year.
